Add the spot to the fixed list, test it properly, and include it in any further quote. Write the outcome in one sentence per zone. Over a season those sentences become the site's chigger history, and next spring they tell you which zones need attention before the first guest sits down outside.
Records, reports, and closing the season
Keep one folder per season with four things in it, and keep it where the manager on duty can find it. The marked site plan, showing numbered test spots, treated zones with footage, and the photographs of each spot. Update it rather than replacing it, so the history stays visible. Add your landscaping notes, including dates of mulching, hedging, and irrigation changes in treated zones. At the end of the outdoor season, write a one-page summary: which zones held larvae, what the counts did, what was treated and what it cost, what habitat changes were made, and what you would do differently. Send it to whoever holds the landscape contract so next spring's schedule reflects it, and keep a copy with the site's pest documentation.
